The Red-Headed Woodpecker is one of my Dad’s favorite birds. He has created several paintings and many
sketches of this dramatically colored bird, but never a sculpture. He is now very enthused and working hard on the clay model of this future bronze.
This rough sketch gives you some idea of what he is working on. Some features of the sculpture other than the two birds include a tree frog (will be proportionately smaller in sculpture), loose fitting bark, a round bronze base, and bracket fungus mushrooms.
The sculpture measures 30”H x 9”W x 11”L. The gallery price will be $2,500 and the special offer price will be $1,500.
